Unfortunately, we have to wait a bit until we can dive into the world of Battlefield 2042. EA has confirmed us that an open beta to the shooter will take place in September. But EA and DICE have now announced something that could sweeten the waiting time on the open beta.
Short film "Exodus" from the point of view of a journalist
What is it about? On Twitter, those responsible announced that we can experience a short film for Battlefield 2042. The short film carries the title "Exodus" and shows various locations from the game from the point of view of the journalist Kayvan Bechir. Unfortunately, nothing was not revealed to the story and the length of the film:

When will the short film appear? The premiere of the film will take place on the 12th of August at 17:00 German time. If you want to watch the movie, you do not have to go to the cinema, but merely visit the YouTube channel of the makers.
Why a short film? Battlefield 2042 will not have your own campaign. This makes it harder for the developer team to convey the story behind the shooter. But anyway, EA and DICE would like to try to tell as much as possible from the history of the game world and characters through multiplayer mode and external projects like this short film.
Why the elimination of the campaign is not a problem for our author Erik grains, you read in his column:
