The studio will work on the title for the next years.
2K Games has confirmed that a new bioshock is the game in development at Cloud Chamber, a recent studio. The developer has two branches, one in Novato, California, and one in Montreal, where the latter is directed by the former Zynga-GM Ken's chess. Global development is led by Kelly Gilmore, which has worked for almost 20 years at company (and zivilization and xcom games on their invoice).
Gilmore explained: We have founded cloud chamber to create worlds - and their stories contained therein, which expand the limits of the possible video game medium. Our team believes in the beauty and strength of diversity, both to the composition of the studio as well as the nature of his thinking.
We are an extremely experienced group of players, for which many are responsible Bioshock ' It is an honor to be an honor to be part of the 2K family and act as a manager of this legendary franchise company.
David Ismailer, President of 2K Games, said, While expanding our product portfolio, we will be inspired by the opportunities to continue investing in our valuable intellectual property, great employees and their collective long-term potential. Bioshock is one of the most popular, most praised and highest-rated franchise companies of the last console renal. We can hardly wait to see where the powerful narrative and iconic ego shooter gameplay will lead to the future.
Of course, it will take a while until the game will be presented at all - Cloud Chamber will work in the next few years. It seems likely that it could come to Xbox Scarlett and Playstation 5 on the whole line, but even that could take several years. The real question is how the continuation will look like.
Will it be a FPS / RPG similar to the first two? Or will it be more in fascinating simulation areas, such as the new title of inventor Ken Levine at Ghost Story Games? Whatever the case may be, it will be a long journey for the franchise.
