The Witcher: start date of the 2nd season announced with trailer

Last night, the opening event of the Witchchecon took place and at the conclusion of the event there was still a special treat for fans in the form of a trailer for the coming 2nd season of the fantasy series. This not only shows us how it continues with Geralt and Ciri, but also reveals us the start date of the new season. The video as well as a first poster you can watch as usual below in the article.

The Witcher: Season 2 starts in December 2021

Like the trailer reveals, Geralt will take the young Ciri under his wing and travel with her. A special station is the witcher fortress Kaa Mornen. There they meet, among other things, on Geralts Woxer Brothers Lambert, Eskel, Coën, as well as the teacher and drawing father of our protagonist, Vesemir. Elsewhere, Meanwhile, the Yennefer sorcerer comes back to which a very own adventure is likely to wait.

Of course, the stars of the 1st season, especially Henry Cavill, become a Geralt, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Joey Batey as a knight's spur. But there will also be some new faces, such as Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Paul Bullion as Lambert and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir. Of course, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich returns behind the scenes as a showrunner, producer and author.

The 2nd season of "The Witcher" starts exclusively on 17 December 2021 at Netflix.
