[Inews 24 Reporter Park Ye-jin] Smilegate Orange Planet Startup Foundation (CEO Sang-bong Seo, hereafter referred to as Orange Planet) announced on the 13th that it would be holding the 'Global Orange Class', a mentoring program for overseas expansion by alumni.
The Global Orange Class is a program that seeks support for Orange Planet alumni start-ups to advance overseas and supports the establishment of a global networking foundation. The lectures on July 13th and August 24th will be held online, and the lectures on July 21st and August 11th will be held offline at Orange Planet.
First of all, on the 13th, Storm Ventures CEO Nam Tae-hee will conduct online mentoring on the topic of 'how to find product market suitability' for early start-ups. Storm Ventures, led by CEO Nam, is a B2B company-focused investor, and has participated as an initial investor in 12 unicorn companies so far.
On the 21st, Josh Lee, CEO of Sweet, a global collaboration tool startup, will be a lecturer. Under the theme of 'Global GTM (Go To Market) Strategy', CEO Josh Lee will share the trial and error and know-how Sweet experienced while promoting the actual GTM. Famous venture capitals such as Smilegate Investment and Primer Corporation have participated in Sweet's recent series A (26 billion won) investment. Currently, Sweet is used by 37,000 companies in 180 countries, including Google and Meta.
On the 11th of next month, Woojin Kim, CEO of Business Canvas, will meet with his junior entrepreneurs under the theme of 'creating synergy with global tech giants'. In this lecture, CEO Woojin Kim plans to share the experience of explosive growth through strategic collaboration with leading tech companies such as Google and Naver Cloud. Business Canvas provides a document-based collaboration tool service, and has been introduced by companies in 160 countries.
Finally, on the 24th of the same month, Saera Song, CEO of Champagne, will announce under the theme 'K-to G-(Global)'. Through this lecture, CEO Song Saera will give a lecture on the strategies of Korean startups to advance into overseas markets and attract investment. Sara Song, a former venture capital examiner, has provided consulting services to domestic and foreign startups in various fields such as management consulting, finance, and marketing/branding.
On the other hand, Orange Planet has been supporting startups in earnest since 2014, and the corporate value of startups they have supported for the past 8 years reaches 2.16 trillion won in the first half of this year.
